The JBL Flip 7 is a rugged, portable Bluetooth speaker released in April 2025. It serves as the successor to the popular Flip 6, introducing significant durability upgrades with an IP68 rating and a new drop-proof design. 

Key Upgrades & Performance

• AI Sound Boost: Uses a proprietary algorithm to analyze music in real-time, optimizing acoustic performance to deliver clearer sound with less distortion even at high volumes.
• Enhanced Battery: Offers up to 14 hours of standard playtime, which can be extended to 16 hours using the "Playtime Boost" feature in the JBL Portable App.
• Auracast™ Connectivity: Replaces the older PartyBoost system, allowing you to broadcast audio to an unlimited number of other Auracast-enabled JBL speakers.
• Lossless Audio: Supports high-resolution, lossless audio playback when connected to a compatible source via its USB-C port.
• Power Output: Features a 25W RMS woofer and a 10W RMS tweeter for a total of 35W output, a slight increase from the Flip 6's 30W. 

Design & Durability

• IP68 Rating: Fully dustproof and waterproof, capable of being submerged in up to 1.5 metres of water for 30 minutes.
• Drop-Proof: Specifically engineered to withstand falls from up to 1 metre onto hard surfaces like concrete.
• PushLock System: Features a new interchangeable accessory system that lets you easily switch between a finger loop and a carabiner (both included).
